Local charity Together Dementia Support is running The Fabulous Forgetful Café, a pop-up café where people living with dementia will welcome, serve and chat to guests themselves.
Members have been preparing for weeks by cooking soups, baking bread, practising serving food and getting ready to take on different roles in the café.
The aim is simple: to show what people living with dementia can do when they have the right support.
The café will take place on Monday, 18 May and Thursday, 21 May at the Kath Locke Centre in Hulme. Tickets are £10 and include homemade soup and soda bread or sandwiches, followed by scones and refreshments.

It’s also part of a wider conversation about dementia support in Manchester, as too many people living with dementia still do not have access to opportunities like this.
