Two Manchester pubs are inviting residents to try limited edition burger and hot dog flavoured ice creams.

John Gilbert on Worsley Brow, Worsley and Ye Olde Cock on Wilmslow Road, which are both owned by Greene King, revealed the savoury treats to launch their summer-long burger and hot dog festival.

The unusual flavours have been created by ice cream aficionados Beechdean Diaries.

The two pubs are also offering a free Prosecco and a buy-one-get-one free offer for the new Burger and Hot Dog Festival menu for anyone brave enough to try the savoury 99s.

John Gilbert general manager, Rebecca Webb said: “In our experience Manchester foodies have always been adventurous in their tastes, so with ten varieties of hot dogs and burgers, we’re sure to have something to suit everyone’s tastes.

“For those really keen to test their taste buds we’ve created these new exclusive savoury ice creams, with an extra reward for those who dare to dine.”

The ice creams will be available at John Gilbert on Worsley Brow, Worsley between 12pm and 2pm on Thursday 9 June and Ye Olde Cock on Wilmslow Road, between 5pm and 7pm.

The Greene King burger and hot dog festival menu is available from now until 31st August.
