HOME has announced three powerful new productions coming to its main stage, Theatre 1, in Autumn 2026:
Shakespeare’s timeless classic Othello – the plays debut performance at HOME, a revival of August Wilson’s Fences, and a striking new stage version of Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway starring Olivier Award-winner Kit Green.
Two of the productions – Othello and Fences – arrive at HOME as major co-productions, reflecting HOME’s ongoing role in developing and touring high-quality theatre nationally.

Shakespeare’s timeless classic Othello comes to HOME in a gripping new production directed by Anthony Almeida. Fear, passion and paranoia bubble beneath the surface of Othello and Desdemona’s newlywed life as Iago’s manipulations begin in whispers and end in ruin.
Co-produced by HOME, Northern Stage, Royal & Derngate and Citizens Theatre, this new production reimagines one of Shakespeare’s most enduring plays for contemporary audiences, exploring jealousy, power and manipulation with urgent emotional clarity.
A gripping new version of Virginia Woolf’s daring and radical masterpiece Mrs Dalloway comes to HOME as part of its UK tour following its world premiere at Storyhouse in Chester.

The immersive new stage version has been co-created by award-winning director Jen Heyes and Olivier Award-winning writer and performer Kit Green, who embodies the lead role and a host of unforgettable characters in this bold, contemporary reimagining.
Over the course of one extraordinary day, lives intertwine as memory, identity and loss collide around Clarissa Dalloway: vivacious, complex, unforgettable. Funny and moving, Mrs Dalloway is a vibrant celebration of life, love, survival and the moments that make us who we are. Kit Green is an artist whose work covers theatre, music, cabaret, comedy and broadcast, brings a powerful Northwest connection to the production, making HOME a fitting final destination for the tour. The production is a co-production between Storyhouse, Harlow Playhouse and CutToTheChase Productions.
Pioneering theatre company Headlong brings a brand-new production of August Wilson’s Fences to HOME as part of a major UK tour. Directed by Daniel Bailey (Red Pitch), this co-production between Headlong, Leeds Playhouse, Lyric Hammersmith Theatre and HOME Manchester marks the first major revival in over a decade of this American classic. Set in the 1950s, August Wilson’s landmark play follows Troy Maxson as the past keeps closing in and the pressure builds at home, where dreams collide and tempers flare, edging the Maxson’s towards a reckoning that could reshape everything they know.
