Lifestyle-tech brand hero, which is weeks away from the launch of its brand new 10,000 sq ft Training Club in Angel Gardens, has partnered up with well-known Manchester-based PKB.

Set up in 2014 by Rugby League legends Mark Flanagan and Jon Wilkin, PKB serves speciality coffee, an internationally inspired breakfast and lunch menu as well amazing baked goods and treats.  Focused on simple but tasty ingredients, the local business offers a wide range of vegan and gluten free options.

Opening its third shop in Angel Gardens, PKB will be a stone’s throw from the new state of the art hero Training Club.  Joe Gaunt, CEO of hero said: “PKB and hero share a vision when it comes to service and delivery. We both want to offer exceptional service and help educate people about what will benefit their health and wellbeing.  Personally, I love the story behind PKB and was already a huge fan of the brand. We were already in talks about how we could work together so when we found out we were going to be neighbours in Angel Gardens it was serendipitous.  I admire how Jon and Mark have been able to form a cult brand out of passion and commitment to innovate and deliver something awesome, which grows in popularity. All our members will be able to receive offers, exclusives and VIP incentives from PKB, which we know they will appreciate.”

Mark Flanagan Director of PKB said: “We pride ourselves on offering the best coffee in Manchester, coupled with home-made and amazing home baked bread and produce. Our new premises in Angel Gardens will also have a license so we will also be serving new and innovative cocktails and a great wine list.  Both Jon and I understand the value of leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Great food, regular exercise and a clear mind are the perfect ingredients to a happy life. The hero Training Club looks phenomenal; the thought and attention to detail across all aspects of service and delivery has blown our minds, and I am sure the Manchester public will be equally impressed.  And who knows, we might look to delivering some fitness classes again and maybe even re-launching our hugely popular PKBlast group training classes at hero….”

The hero Training Club is a first for the UK and will cover every single aspect of a person’s health and wellbeing.  There will be four separate zones, to reflect four disciplines; Athletic, Cardio, Rejuvenate and Stronger as well as complementary services such as counselling and mental health support, not to mention a first for Manchester; a Cryo-therapy chamber, wellbeing hub and physiotherapy on offer to deliver an amazing experience from the moment you walk through the door.
