A group of Manchester City fans are taking legal action over the club’s season ticket policy

The group Trade Union Blues have engaged the law firm have instructed the law firm Leigh Day to write to the club over its concerns over changes to season ticket policies

They say that the ten game minimum requirement could disadvantage groups including the disabled, those with caring obligations,shift workers and the elderly and could be contrary to the 2010 Equality Act

The group also have concerns over the use of facial recognition technology for workers at the club entering the stadium although it will not be used for fans

The club froze season ticket prices for fans for the coming season but increased the obligatory number of home league matches a season-ticket holder must attend from 14 to 16, adding that only six of those games could be shared with friends or handed back to the club for resale.
