The Greggs Festive Bake arrived in the City Tower Parker Street store in Manchester on 03/11. Greggs Superfan, Caroline Wojnarowski signalled the arrival of the Festive Bake to Manchester with an Olympic-style torch.

Christmas officially arrived in Manchester on Sunday afternoon when the Greggs Festive Bake came to the city days before going on sale nationwide.

Brits voted online in their thousands for the chance to have the festive treat on sale in their city early. Newcastle came first, followed by Birmingham which came second, with Manchester scoring third place, then Cardiff and London fourth and fifth respectively.

Those in the area on the day were also treated to free Festive Bakes as Greggs gave away 500 of the beloved bakes to those able to come to the shop and celebrate.

Local lady Caroline Wojnarowski nominated herself to be Manchester’s Greggs Superfan and brought the Festive Bake Olympic-style torch to the shop before officially tasting this year’s Festive Bake. As a Superfan, Caroline also received a £100 Greggs gift card and a Superfan hoodie which she wore on the day.

Caroline was crowned a Superfan after revealing her devotion to the Festive Bakes. She sends out calendar invites for the Festive Bake release date at work and they have Festive Bake Friday at work every Friday throughout November and December.

The tour will then move on to Cardiff with the Festive Bake arriving there the next day.

The Festive Bake is made from succulent pieces of chicken breast, sage & onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce. All wrapped in golden puff pastry with a crunchy crumb topping.
