Garden and food recycling bins and caddies will not be collected until further notice, in order to ensure that collection of grey rubbish bins can continue as normal. New requests for green bins, caddies and caddy liners have also been paused.

Garden waste, vegetable peelings, fruit and coffee granules can be composted at home. Residents who do not have a compost bin should place their food waste in the grey rubbish bin instead.

If you or someone you are living with has any Coronavirus symptoms, it is vitally important to keep your personal waste such as tissues separate. Public Health England advise that these items should be placed in a tied bag and then stored inside another tied bag. This waste should be kept separate from your other rubbish for 72 hours, before being placed in the grey bin outside.

In line with government advice, all Household Waste Recycling Centres in Greater Manchester are now closed. No new bulky waste removal bookings will be taken until further notice, though crews are working to complete existing bookings.
