Antonia Patricia Miller, a renowned artist and graduate of Central Saint Martins, is delighted to unveil her latest exhibition, “Found Moments,” at the Great Northern Warehouse, located at 283 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4EW.
The exhibition, opening on Friday September 6th, will run through to September 30th, showcasing a stunning collection of acrylic paintings and prints that celebrate the beauty of everyday life.
Antonia first gained recognition in the creative world as a producer of beloved children’s art shows for the BBC and ITV. After a successful career in television, she returned to her first artistic passion: fine art.
Since then, she has immersed herself in artistic communities across London and Manchester, participated in workshops in Italy and Cornwall, and developed a distinctive style characterized by bold, vibrant colours, a playful simplicity, and a keen ability to capture fleeting moments of beauty, particularly in landscapes, floral scenes, and avian life.
“Found Moments” is a tribute to the beauty in the ordinary. This series of still-life paintings highlights overlooked corners of cafés and restaurants—scenes brimming with character. With vivid colours and thoughtful compositions, these works bring everyday settings to life, inviting viewers to find joy in the simplicity of daily life.
Each piece is hand-drawn and painted, reflecting Antonia’s dedication to craftsmanship and her passion for celebrating the unnoticed elements of our surroundings. The exhibition radiates warmth, positivity, and a deep sense of delight, perfectly encapsulating Antonia’s artistic vision.
In addition to the exhibition, Antonia will host a series of workshops and events throughout September, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with her creative process.
Mindful Mondays, held every Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, will feature calming sessions that blend mindfulness practices with art, fostering a relaxed environment for creative expression. Participants will have the chance to draw or paint a still-life arrangement, while soothing music and mindful techniques create a peaceful space for artistic exploration.
Sunday Portrait Sessions, held every Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, welcome artists and creatives of all skill levels. These sessions provide a space for Manchester’s artistic community to gather, draw portraits of each other, and celebrate their creativity. Each session includes guidance, tuition, and materials, with a fee of £15 per session and a concession rate of £10.
Antonia warmly invites art enthusiasts, creatives, and the general public to join her at the Great Northern Warehouse for a month filled with creativity, community, and artistic exploration. “Found Moments” embodies her belief in finding joy in everyday beauty and her commitment to sharing this joy with others.
