Emerging talent management consultancy, Grayce is today announcing that it has opened two new collaborative workspaces in Manchester and London in a bid to equip more young people than ever before with the skills they’ll need both now and for future employability.

As many companies move to introduce hybrid, or fully remote working-models, Grayce has invested over £2m in two new collaboration hubs in London and Manchester and over £2m in training its growing analyst community in data, tech and digital skills.

These workspaces will be vital in helping to build the skills of young professionals and recent graduates, through collaborative learning and three dedicated Development Programmes – Change+, Data+ and Tech+. The programmes will deliver training in the most in-demand digital skills across industries, while also helping young people to build vital interpersonal skills.

Alongside these new hubs, Grayce, with its partner Code Nation, is proud to announce a significant joint investment into the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to improve digital inclusion and social mobility.

The partnership will include 100 scholarships and apprenticeships to increase the diversity of those starting their careers in tech, on one of Code Nation’s technical Bootcamps
300 free places for 16-18-year-olds on Code Nation’s Introduction to Web Development course

Over 450 hours of mentoring and career inspiration to Code Nation learners and graduates
Attendance for over 1,500 residents at Code Nation’s ‘Inspire’ speaking events and a  joint initiative to create a further 50 software apprenticeships across the Combined Authority

In support of this critical investment into skills in Manchester, Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, will be in attendance to officially open the Manchester hub today.

The opening of the new hubs and Code Nation partnership come during a period of rapid growth for Grayce. Its intake of Analysts has increased by 95% in the last 12 months alone and another 450 graduates will be hired this year. To date, the talent management consultancy has helped start the careers of over 1000 graduates and is now servicing 65% more clients than it was in 2016, as the demand for skilled professionals in change, data and tech continues to rise. Revenues have grown 129% in the last two financial years, and this year it set to be its biggest year yet.

Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester said “It’s great to see collaboration of this kind coming to the region. We want to ensure that everyone in Greater Manchester, whatever their age, location or situation, can benefit from the opportunities digital brings, including equipping our young people with the skills they need and supporting those wanting to future proof their employability. Investment of this kind will do just that.

“I’m also pleased to see the importance of digital inclusion recognised through this collaboration, we have to make a big commitment to combat digital exclusion, the consequences of not doing so are severe – with our people at risk of further social isolation, lack of equal opportunities and not being able to access support.”

Geoff Smith, CEO of Grayce commented, “We are hiring more graduates than ever before and are committed to giving as many talented young people as we can the best possible start to their career. Our partnership with Code Nation takes this one step further and together, we will be able to provide more opportunities for people from all different backgrounds wanting to learn new digital skills.

“With the world of work constantly changing, we understand the importance of offering flexible and remote working. However, we also recognise that many young professionals and new graduates are craving in-person interactions and the chance to learn collaboratively together, some of whom have never set foot in an office or met their colleagues face-to-face before. That’s why we’re investing millions in our new collaborative workspaces, where we’ll be giving our Analysts the chance to learn through their peers and colleagues, bounce ideas off each other readily and build long-lasting and meaningful working relationships.”
