Altrincham MP and former head of the Government’s 1922 back bench 1922 Committee Sir Graham Brady said that government policy is “confused” and needs to change.

Speaking on BBC Radio Four’s Westminster Hour yesterday evening, he told the programme

“I think there is a recognition that we need to do much more to get the economy moving,” he said. “I do think that the emphasis has become a little bit confused over the last few weeks … I think we should err on the side of openness, and trying to make sure that more people can get on with their lives.”
