The Government has now changed its travel advice for eight areas across England was with the public now urged to minimize travel in and out of areas such as Bolton rather than avoid all non-essential travel.

Instead, we are providing advice on the additional precautions people can take to protect themselves and others in those areas where the new variant is prevalent.

As well as minimising travel, people in the affected areas are being asked to meet outdoors and stay 2m apart from anyone in other households, wherever those things are possible.
