The Lowry Outlet Shopping Centre is bringing an array of green-fingered celebrities and artisan delights to the region on Saturday 12th April– Monday 14th April, with its very first Garden Tea Party.
The event will take centre stage on the Outlet’s Plaza and the MediaCityUK Piazza, offering gardening goodies, live music, expert demonstrations and children’s entertainment!
It is a three-day celebration of gardens galore, featuring some of the UK’s best-loved gardeners, offering expert advice to keep your garden blooming! Celebrity guests include garden expert and former Ground Force team member, Charlie Dimmock (April 12), and Gardener’s World presenter and Gardener’s Question Time regular Carol Klein (April 13).
Blue Peter’s very own gardener, Chris Collins, will be at the Garden Party on the Monday (April 14), giving a fun-filled demo on how to make your very own miniature edible garden!
With over 80 stalls selling an abundance of high quality plants, bulbs and flower, plus spectacular garden features and furniture, the Artisan Market also features the finest food and drink produce from around the county and even further afield. Also available to browse, are handmade gifts, homewares, jewellery and seasonal goods.
There is also an opportunity to enjoy your tasty finds at the Secret Garden Music Stage. With an eclectic mix of free live music, including brass bands and signer songwriters, you’ll be entertained all day long.
There is also plenty for youngsters and the young at heart who can attend the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in the Garden Wonderland with the chance to meet Alice, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and of course the Mad Hatter himself. There is also an Easter egg hunt, free balloon modelling, and cupcake decorating.
