As well as putting on a full month of festive fun for Christmas at their Green Quarter venue, street food and drinks events company GRUB is offering some fantastic gifting options this year.
GRUB was founded in 2014 by Jason and Juliana Bailey after a successful run as street food traders themselves. Now based at Red Bank in Manchester’s Green Quarter, GRUB hosts an amazing industrial events space, an independent cinema, a huge beer garden and more.
The focus of the events is always providing an inclusive, festival-style atmosphere supported by exceptional food and drink supplied by truly independent producers and chefs. In addition to this, GRUB is committed to assisting and mentoring street food traders in order to support the grass-roots food & drinks community in Manchester.
GRUB, like many other local food and drink businesses, has battled through the last few years facing crisis after crisis. Manchester has already seen some fantastic, hardworking businesses close their doors and it does not look like any external support is on the horizon. This is why many creative operators are coming up with plans to stay afloat and keep prices lower for their guests.
GRUB have decided to launch a new Gift Programme, “Give a Little GRUB” in the lead up to the big day. This is GRUB’s way to secure some income to pay their inflated electricity bills before Christmas, whilst still providing a service to their loyal customers and, most importantly, a great value gift for family and friends to give and receive.
GRUB director Jason Bailey said “It is hard times for everyone right now so a great value gift scheme that keeps our heaters on but makes Christmas gifts a little bit easier to manage for our lovely punters is a no brainer. We all love socks for Christmas but this year, why not give an experience, give memories, give a little GRUB!”.
The “Give a Little GRUB” scheme launched on Thursday 1st December and visitors to GRUB’s website will now be able to purchase a selection of gift cards for family and friends which allows them to redeem an experience at GRUB.
