The Jury in the trial of Ryan Giggs at Manchester Crown Court has been discharged after they could not reach a verdict on any of the eleven charges
Yesterday the judge had told them that they could return a majority verdict after having deliberated for sixteen hours without any agreement
Giggs had denied controlling and coercive behaviour as well as assalting his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville, and assaulting her sister, Emma Greville.
Giggs has been released on police bail while and the Crown Prosecution Service will have until next Weds to decide whether it will seek a retrial.
