Four men have been arrested following an incident in Heywood over the Bank Holiday weekend in which two cars rammed into each other
Officers were called shortly after 10pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance on Prospect Street involving two vehicles – a white BMW 1 Series and a grey Audi A3.
The occupants of both vehicles were reported to be driving aggressively towards one another, with the vehicles being deliberately rammed.
It is believed that the occupants of the Audi were in possession of weapons and pursued the BMW. One occupant of the BMW sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Both vehicles left the scene before later being found abandoned on Hind Hill Street and Aragon Drive in Heywood.
One suspect was arrested on the evening of the incident on suspicion of violent disorder and has since been released on bail.
This morning police raided addresses in Heywood, Rochdale and Middleton .Four men, all aged in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder . Two of the men were additionally arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.
A fifth suspect remains outstanding, and enquiries are ongoing to locate them.
