Five people were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and several thousands of pounds worth of drugs were recovered, including crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis today
The arrests followed police action to disrupt anti-social behaviour and drug dealing around Alison Street
Large amounts of cash and a machete were also recovered.
Inspector Helen Hallworth from the City of Manchester Central Neighbourhood Team: “Today’s action comes as part of our commitment to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal substances that can cause serious harm.
“We are dedicated to finding and punishing those responsible for these types of crimes and we’re committed to ensuring families can enjoy their neighbourhoods without fear or disturbance.”
