Fire crews have been tackling a fire at a recycling centre in Bury.

FireFighters were called to the incident, in Every Street, at around 12.25pm today and six appliances being used at the scene.

The fire, which involves three stacks of paper and card, is under control and jets are currently being used to extinguish the flames.

Some light smoke is coming off the fire and may be visible in the area and while people do not need to be unduly concerned, residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed and avoid the area.
