Police are appealing for witnesses after a large fight in a carpark following a party at Event City in the early hours of Sunday morning.

100 people were reportedly fighting in a carpark following a black tie dinner featuring “Ultimate Fighting Championship supporter and patriotic fight fan” Conor McGregor.

When police arrived, they soon confirmed there was more likely to have been 15 – 20 people involved, not the 100 as initially reported.

Three men were taken to hospital and were treated for minor injuries, they have now been discharged.

Detective Inspector John Stainton from Stretford Police Station said: “There was a lot of confusion about what happened and how many people were involved in last night’s fighting but we are now clear that there were a maximum of around 20 people involved in the disorder.

We are appealing for anyone who saw anything to get in touch as soon as possible. Behaviour like we saw last night is not acceptable and I’m only thankful that there weren’t any more serious injuries.”
