Manchester’s Military History Society will be putting on their annual Christmas Special on Tuesday 10th Dec.

As usual, it will be a little different from their monthly meetings, and will feature a number of short pieces as well as food.

As a taster, last year’s event included talks on, among other things, pigeons in World War two, military inventions which actually didn’t get produced, as well as book auction and a surprise quiz.

This year we are promised a talk “military eccentric of the year”.

All are welcome at the event which takes place at the East Manchester History and Gaming Centre in Knivton Street, Godley, Hyde and admission including food will be £3
