Explore Learning, the popular provider of extra tuition for children has this week launched its new centre in Wilmslow Road, Didsbury.
It will be the 137th centre to open in the UK and it’s ninth across Manchester, after the sustained popularity of nearby centres.
Located in Didsbury Village, it will be an essential education hub for children from all backgrounds looking to build on their skills in maths and English. Explore Learning is an award-winning provider of extra tuition for children aged 4 to 14, taking a unique and personalised approach to maths and English tuition. Mapped to the National Curriculum, all work is tailored to every child’s individual strengths and areas of development.
Kim Barnes, Centre Director, says: “I am proud to be launching our education centre in the heart of Didsbury. We have already met so many lovely families who have become part of our Explore Learning family, and we are excited to start supporting their children to become confident, fearless learners! Over the last six months we have recruited and trained some truly inspirational tutors who will be incredible role models for our members and are passionate to get to know each child as an individual.’’
The centre will be creating approximately 15 new jobs in the local area, made up of tutors and centre management team.
As well as English and maths tuition every day of the week, the centre will be launching specialist courses in Succeed in Secondary School, Creative Maths, Creative Writing and training for Entrance Exams, specifically the 11 Plus.
Children receive tuition at a ratio of one tutor to six children, meaning they get the perfect balance of individual support and independent learning. The company is Ofsted registered and the fact that each child’s development is mapped to the National Curriculum ensures that what they learn complements their studies at school.
Charlotte Gater, Head of Curriculum at Explore Learning says: “Children with varying levels of ability come to us for extra help in maths and English or to enjoy learning in a new, social environment. We have a team that are incredibly passionate about what they do – they really care about the children and this is reflected in the fun the children have when they attend.”
Standard membership is £119 per month with no £50 registration fee until March and members can attend on a drop-in basis. Explore Learning offers a number of helping hand schemes – Childcare vouchers and the childcare element of Working Tax Credits could enable parents to save on their monthly membership, as well as a scholarship scheme with a 50% discount to parents receiving income support or job seekers’ allowance. They also have a very popular ‘refer a friend’ scheme as well as sibling discounts.
All parents are eligible for a FREE trial session where parents and children can come in, meet the tutors and discuss the educational needs of each child and how Explore Learning can best support them.
