Manchester’s Etrop Grange hotel has gone into administration.

The hotel which is located opposite to Manchester Airport and has 64 bedrooms and is continues to trade and is now up for sale.

The company behind the hotel, ‘Manchester Terminal 2 Hotel’, called in administrators Duff & Phelps on 25 April.

In a statement regarding the Etrop Grange hotel, Matt Ingram, joint administrator, Duff & Phelps said: “Etrop Grange is one of the best known hotels in the North West with a long, established reputation.

“The hotel remains open for business and is trading as normal whilst we seek a buyer. The administrators are keen to stress that all bookings – for weddings and other receptions for example – continue to be honoured and customers should not be concerned.

“More broadly there is a lot of confidence in the UK hotel sector, which performed well in 2017 and mirrored property investment in general.

“Driven by a weakened Sterling, the growth in ‘staycations’ and improved infrastructure developments – not least in and around Manchester Airport – we believe that the future remains bright for Etrop Grange.”
