The UK economy grew 0.2% in August, in line with expectations with manufacturers and retail businesses having had a ‘strong’ month.
In August, services grew 0.1%, production grew 0.5% and construction grew 0.4%.
The figures come after both July and August showed no growth after being revised
Compared to a year ago, economic output was 1.0% higher, below the 1.4% growth forecast by economists.
