A man has been charged after his car crashed into a house in Westhoughton where a
92-year-old woman was inside the property at the time and suffered injuries.
She was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition after the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning
Michael Vose aged 39 of Mount Pleasant Avenue, St Helens has been charged with assault, criminal damage and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been remanded into custody with a court date appearance to be set in due course.
