Drivers heading into Manchester along Oldham Road have been warned that they face months of disruption
Several road improvements will be introduced in Oldham Road between Bengal Street and Portland Street, just north of the city centre which will begin on 13th May and are expected to last several months into the autumn
The first phase of the project will take 2-3 weeks to complete and will require a single lane closure on both carriageways of Oldham Road between Bengal Street and Poland Street.
The project will see improve the safety of cycleways and improve crossings and footpaths across Oldham Road, providing additional safety to pedestrians crossing
Install new traffic signals at the junction of Oldham Road and Radium Street, replace the road surface and apply new road markings
