Step into a world where Gothic Victorian elegance meets culinary delight this spring, at The Martlet Kitchen – which is nestled within the breathtaking beauty of Rochdale Town Hall.
This Grade-1 listed masterpiece, often likened to London’s Palace of Westminster due to its ornate grandeur, carved wooden angels and grand sweeping staircases, now offers an afternoon tea experience at The Martlet that promises to tantalise taste buds and transport diners to a bygone era…
Created by executive chef, local culinary luminary Darren Parkinson, The Martlet’s afternoon tea experience includes a selection of hand-crafted traditional finger sandwiches, as well as homemade banana bread with dulce de leche and a chocolate crumb, fruit scones with clotted cream, madeleines with zesty lemon icing and delicate macaroons served with vanilla butter cream. Diners also get unlimited tea or coffee with their afternoon tea (£21 pp), and can easily upgrade to add a glass of bubbles.
The experience is perfect for anyone wanting to treat their mum, or their friends, to some spring fun in a stunning location!
For added value, you can buy a Mother’s Day “Afternoon Tea for 2” gift card too, with 10% off until 28th March, which can be redeemed within 12 months of purchase (starting from 30th March onwards) – the perfect gift for mums who love to lunch!
The Martlet Kitchen’s afternoon tea is available Monday to Saturday, from 12 noon to 3:30 pm. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a seamless experience. Visit https://www.rochdaletownhall.
