A home office post mortem has today been conducted; as a result the death has not been deemed suspicious and remains unexplained pending conclusion of the Pathologists investigation.
It is believed that the man is Terrance Joseph Moores, aged 63, from the Stockport area of Cheshire.
His body was found on Friday on the coastal side of the A548 road between Gronant and Prestatyn.
Detective Inspector Elfyn Hughes said: “The family have been supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers over the weekend and have been updated. “
