Eleven Salford-based community organisations  have been selected to be part of Together We Create, a project at the heart of Lowry’s 25th birthday celebrations

Together We Create has been funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and aims to bring people together through creativity to celebrate the heritage of Salford Quays and Lowry.

Among the projects Community Support Centre based on Langworthy Road will create a colourful large-scale mural titled The Voices in Colour that will be a celebration of diversity and unity, and both self-expression and collective creativity through art – with the goal to foster understanding and appreciation for different perspectives.

Talk About It Mate is a Salford based social enterprise offering creative approaches to mental health. Led by two Salford-based artists Through My Eyes will be 10 Art for Wellbeing events that will provide a therapeutic space where individuals can explore their personal experiences and mental health while drawing inspiration from the themes of LS Lowry’s work.

Jenny Riding, Director of Learning & Engagement at Lowry said “Together We Create is a beautiful reflection of what makes our communities so special—creativity, collaboration, and a deep sense of pride in Salford.

“It was so important to us to celebrate our communities, our history and heritage, and the vibrant spirit of Salford as part of our birthday. Thanks to the support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we’re not just marking a milestone—we’re making new memories and shaping the next chapter.”
