Police have released CCTV footage after armed robbers targeted a shop in Hulme last month. 

Three men wearing balaclavas, and armed with crowbars and a machete, went into McColls on Ellesmere Street and stole cigarettes, alcohol, and cash before fleeing shortly before 11pm on Thursday 20 July

Police have released CCTV footage and are appealing for anyone who recognises the clothing worn by the men to come forward. hey were wearing balaclavas, hoods, and jackets – one was wearing a distinctive blue jacket.

Detective Constable Sean Downey of GMP’s City of Manchester Team said: “Three men armed with weapons terrified those working in the shop and it is fortunate that nobody was injured.

“I’m hoping someone may recognise the distinctive jacket worn by one of the men in the CCTV. Perhaps you know someone with a similar jacket. If you do, or you have any information that may help our investigation, I would urge you to contact me. It could prove to be vital in bringing the offenders to justice.”
