Cats Protection is collaborating with the RSPCA to open a new multi pen site at the current RSPCA Bury, Oldham & District Branch.

Whether they have a little or a lot of time to give, volunteers will provide vital care and support to make a better life for cats and kittens at the new North Manchester Cat Centre.

Abbi Fairclough, Volunteer Team Leader, said: “We are really looking forward to this collaboration with the RSPCA, and the difference it will make to felines in the area.

“Being located in the heart of our existing Rochdale Branch area, Cats Protection will be operating the cattery section of the RSPCA Oldham, Bury and District site as the North Manchester Cat Centre.

“We’re delighted to say that the RSPCA will remain on the site for other areas of their work including their low-cost feline neutering clinic. They will be also increasing their vet provision for us so that all our veterinary care can remain on site including surgery, which is really exciting!

“This fantastic opportunity to help felines in the area won’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers.

“We are looking for enthusiastic cat-lovers to join our amazing network of volunteers as cat carers, cat desensitisers and cat care team leaders. If a hands-on animal role isn’t for you, we’re also looking for social media and administration/call handler volunteers.

“No two days are the same as a volunteer. You’ll develop new skills, make new friends, and help cats. Full training will also be given by our friendly team.

“Our volunteers really make our work possible. If you’d like to help make life better for cats we’d love to hear from you!”
