An investigation by the BBC’s Panorama programme has accused Manchester based clothes retailer BooHoo of putting Made in U.K. labels on products made overseas
A spokesperson from Boohoo told the BBC that the mislabelling was an “isolated incident”.
The investigation found plain T-shirts and hoodies had original labels removed last year at Boohoo’s factory Thurmaston Lane in Leicester and The items had been shipped from countries in South Asia, including Pakistan
A spokesperson for the retailer said: “We have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again.”
