One man has been jailed, two given suspended sentances and another sent to a young offenders institute after a raid on a garage in Stockport where a shop worker was assaulted

The attack was filmed and posted on social media was used against them as evidence

The four  entered the store on Wellington Road South, forcing the door open after threatening behaviour in the forecourt. All of which was filmed on Snapchat and later accessed following their arrest which was cross-referenced with CCTV and used as evidence against them.

This was from a prior incident involving a robbery of e-cigarette liquid where one of the suspects left his mobile phone in the aftermath and later returned with friends resulting in the attack.

Charging towards the victim, the group then violently assaulted the man, by punching and stomping on him and throwing shop furniture at him forcefully. His injuries required medical treatment at the time.

They then fled the scene having caused excessive damage to the till area of the store, stealing a further £600 worth of stock.

Kausar Amin 22 of Tate Street, Oldham was sentenced to two years in prison for the robbery and assault,Two others, both 19-year-old men from Oldham were given suspended sentences with a further Bradley Maphosa aged 20 of Middlewood Street, Salford being sent to a young offender institute for two years.
