The Met Office has issued another weather warning for the region with more rain forecast for this evening and tonight

The warning covers 5pm to 9pm tonight with rain forecast to be between 1-2 inches during that period as a rain band approaches

Meanwhile The Environment Agency is warning the River Mersey is running high after weeks of wer conditions and could burst its banks in parts of Stockport, south Manchester and Trafford.

The agency say the warning covers the middle River Mersey catchment, including Stretford, Gatley, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, Northenden, Chorlton, Sale, Didsbury, Davyhulme, Flixton, and Dumplington,
