The day before Bonfire night saw Greater Manchester fire fighters dealing with 127 incidents up to 10pm.

Fire crews were attacked in Ashton under Lyne by youths throwing fireworks while in Manchester stones were thrown.

Fireworks were pushed through letter boxes in Stockport and firefighters were called to a bonfire in Royton when fireworks were being thrown into the flames.

Elsewhere there were bonfires out of control or left unattended in Droylsden and in Salford

The fire service tweeted

So sad to hear that our crews have been attacked tonight 😞💥.
Fireworks throw at firefighters Ashton and stones thrown in Manchester – fortunately there are no injuries 🚒🚨.
