A 39 – year -old man has been arrested at his home address on suspicion of serious assault, possession of class A drugs, and possession of prohibited firearm.
It follows an incident on Byron Street in the City Centre on Saturday night where a man sustained a fractured leg after being hit by a baseball bat multiple times.
A 25 –year-old woman has been arrested for possession of class A drugs and possession of prohibited firearm after the following items were also recovered from the same address:
A quantity Cocaine and Heroin,Two baseball bats,Two Taser type stun devices,One Zombie knife,One push dagger,Three hunting knives,A hatchet.,Three extendable batons,Two knuckledusters,Three passports and an Air-pistol
The 39 year old man has been released under investigation.
