My Nawaab, one of Manchester’s iconic and longest established Pakistani-Indian restaurants located in Levenshulme, known by various previous names including Merzee, celebrated a new chapter in its history marking its rebrand to “My Nawaab” with a huge event this past weekend.
After 22 years of bringing Pakistani-Indianculinary delights to the Manchester food scene, while also being a big part of the cultural legacy of Stockport and Greater Manchester, the newly rebranded restaurant launched its fresh identity in true My Nawaab style via a lavish re-launch event.
Featuring performers, DJs, culinary spectacles and a touch of magic, the event saw the My Nawaab team wow diners and guests alike. Meanwhile, the recently refurbished banqueting hall hosted hundreds of guests at two stunning weddings over the same weekend.
Guests enjoyed a vibrant food offering that brought to life more than 20 years of expertise and culinary skills from the restaurant’s team of specialist chefs.
Overseeing the restaurant through its evolution is its owner, Usman Malik, who has been part of the legendary restaurant’s journey since its inception in 2002 at the age of just 16.
Usman said: “We’re incredibly excited to mark the start of our new chapter as My Nawaab – something that’s been in the works for quite some time. Our front of house team and set of expert chefs aren’t going anywhere, neither are the classic curry dishes loved by all. So, diners can expect the same fantastic quality of experience as they’ve become used to but with fresh innovation.
“Our rebrand launch event marks the start of a series of celebrations we have planned over the coming months, so we encourage lovers of our iconic flavours to keep their eyes peeled for events, surprises and menu updates. This restaurant has been part of my family life for many years, and I am so proud to be taking the helm at this very special time.”
My Nawaab offers an authentic fusion of Pakistani and Indian flavours through its menu made using only the highest quality ingredients, with diners able to choose between an a la carte menu or the restaurant’s rich buffet selection.
