A man in his 40’s has died after being found on the Metrolink tracks on Salford Quays last night
Police were called to reports of a man on the tram lines close to the Harbour City Metrolink tram stop.
It is believed that the man may have collapsed or fallen onto the tracks, following which he was sadly hit by a tram.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is currently ongoing.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. This includes any relevant CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
