Everyone’s invited for a day of tropical fun, vibrant music, and, of course, to sample great cocktails and mocktails as organisers gear up for Northwich’s annual Pina Colada Festival this weekend.

Taking place on Saturday 17th August 2024, thespectacular and vibrant event will once again fill the streets of Northwich with live music performances, family-friendly games and entertainment as well as street performers and dancing.

Whether you’re a salsa enthusiast, a reggae lover, or simply want a great day out, the annual event has something for everyone. With four key zones, visitors can enjoy music and dancing, arts and crafts and even try on carnival butterfly wings to get into the party spirit.

Live music can be found in both Apple Market Place and the Witton Quarter where acts will take to the stages between 12noon and 6pm.  From skilled steel pan players, DJs and even ukelele players there’s sure to be something for everyone! Both stages will also see five-piece bands ready to transport festivalgoers to hotter climes with uplifting beats and energetic reggae music.

Both music stages offer ample seating for sitting and relaxing as well as space for dancing when the Caribbean beats take over. In Apple Market Place there will also be giant props, festival glitter tattoos and a selfie stand.  In addition, the Witton Quarter is the place to be to enjoy free street games, competitions and complimentary popcorn and candy floss.

For a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, Barons Square is a must-visit.  With face painting, mosaic pineapple crafts, sand art and even Dance lessons (before the parade) it promises to be a great space for everyone. Visitors can also try on butterfly wings and learn to limbo! And that’s not all, keen golfers won’t want to miss the chance to test their skills on the free Pineapple-themed Crazy Golf located on High Street (near Barclays Bank).

With a parade that weaves its way through the streets three times during the day as well as interactive comedy street performers, BBoys and Carmen Meader, andexpert limbo dancers, Northwich town centre really will ‘Get it’s Salsa on’.
