An 18 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications afyer a bomb threat at Abraham Moss Centre on Crescent Road in Manchester.

He remains in police custody at this time for questioning.

Members of the public were evacuated as a precaution.

In line with procedure, a search of the premises was carried out and it was thankfully determined that there was no credible threat.

Inspector Charlotte Roche said: “I understand the concerns incidents of this nature will raise amongst the community but I would like to reassure you that no credible threat was found. On behalf of GMP, I would like to thank the local community for your patience and assistance while this incident was resolved.”
