Fast-growing Manchester-based Kombucha brand, Hip Pop has added to its award-winning range of products by launching its all-new gut lovin’ Living Soda range.

Available in three varieties: Ginger and Turmeric, Pink Grapefruit, and Tropical Peach, each 330 ml can of the plant-based drink contains a full tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and is fortified with prebiotics and probiotics, including Bacillus Coagulans living cultures to support gut health.

With no added sugar or sweeteners and less than 30 calories per can, the new Living Soda range is available to purchase directly from the Hip Pop e-Commerce site.

Originally sold as ‘Booch & Brew’, ‘Hip Pop’ has evolved into an established brand since its launch in Altrincham in 2019. It aims redefine the functional drinks landscape with its range of organic Kombucha and CBD Kombucha which is now being sold by leading retailers across the UK, including Booths, Harrods, Not on the High Street and Health Store.

Hip Pop has successfully doubled its revenue year-on-year since inception and co-founders Emma Thackray and Kenny Goodman employ a growing team of sixteen.

The launch of the new Living Soda range comes just months after Hip Pop closed its second successful Kickstarter campaign, where the £20,000 raised not only exceeded the target by 34%, but enabled them to invest in its innovative and continued pipeline of NPD.

“Apple cider vinegar has been used for centuries in both medicine and cooking, and has been shown to provide various advantages, from improved metabolism to gut health,” says Kenny Goodman, co-founder of Hip Pop.

“Our Living Soda cans contain all the benefits of our original kombucha, with the added bonus of one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, which is an individual’s recommended daily dose.

“We’ve also utilised prebiotics and probiotics, including Bacillus Coagulans which are shown to introduce beneficial functions in the gut, such as nutrient absorption and amelioration of digestive issues. As with all our products, the Living Soda range tastes good, does good and looks good and I can’t wait for our customers old and new to try it.”

With ISWR predicting the low and no alcohol sector to grow a further 31% by 2024, the forward-thinking brand plans to take the functional drinks market by storm with its growing range of nutritional non-alcoholic alternatives.

Awarded the title of Independent Drinks Producer of the Year at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, Hip Pop has also achieved many industry accolades, including two stars at the Great Taste Awards.
