At the heart and soul of The Blues Kitchen is a love and passion for true blues music. This April and May sees their very own Concert Hall host an epic line-up of the best new blues and soul talent, as well as old school legends.

On Wednesday 20th April, one of the most gifted singers and songwriters in contemporary blues, Ian Siegal, will grace the stage. Considered a national treasure by Classic Rock Magazine and a Blues Kitchen staple down south, Ian will be commemorating the launch of his new album, Stone by Stone, with a very special live performance.

Grammy-winning guitarist and musician’s musician, Alvin Youngblood Hart, will join The Blues Kitchen on Wednesday 27th April. From country blues through to classic rock n roll, Alvin has been dubbed the cosmic American love child of Howlin Wolf and Link Wray, with his praises highly sung by the likes of Bob Dylan, Gary Moore and Mick Taylor.

Up next, LA’s Nick Waterhouse on Sunday 22nd May. Presenting vintage rhythm and blues recalling the sounds of the 1950s and early ’60s, while possessing a modern-day level of energy and cool. To be followed by the legendary Texan powerhouse, Sugaray Rayford, on Monday 30th May. Galvanizing electric soul and blues, expect to be transported to a steamy cypress grove on a Mississippi summer night. His sound, charisma and energy is deeply rooted in the gospel he consumed in his local parish following his struggles with PTSD.

The series will conclude with Cedric Burnside on Tuesday 31st May. The Hill Country bluesman comes from a family of blues greats, most notably his grandfather RL Burnside who brought him up. Authentic Mississippy-based blues from one of the best around.
