An 81 year old woman is in hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Church Lane, Lowton late yesterday evening
The woman pedestrian was walking down East Lancashire Road, when a vehicle travelling in the same direction had turned right into Church Lane
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to assist with enquiries.
