A 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries after a multi vehicle crash in Wythenshawe yesterday

A 39-year-old man was also taken to hospital with serious injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The crash happened on Hollyhedge Road, around 5.40pm when Fiat Panda had been involved in collision with a Keeway K-Light motorcycle. The motorcycle was then involved in a further collision with a Skoda Octavia.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Police Sergeant Andrew Page of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a nasty collision that has left two people in hospital with serious injuries. Our thoughts are with them as they both receive urgent medical attention.

“This collision occurred during rush-hour so we’re confident there are people who may have witnessed it or seen the vehicles in the area beforehand. If you were a witness or have information that could assist our investigation please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
