A 52 year old man has been charged with the murder of a 24 year old woman in Atherton earlier this month after death was referred for a Home Office postmortem and the results upgraded the case to suspicious death investigation.
Nadeem Muhammed Begum of Oxford Street, Wigan, has subsequently been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Bolton Crown Court on 14 November 2024.
