A man will appear in court tomorrow over charges relating to the death of 24-year-old Northern Quarter Chef Hiran Chauhan whose body was found in woodland in Salford in July of this year.

Neil Cuckson aged 32 of Eccles Old Road in Salford has been charged with Administering a Noxious Substance, Supplying class A and class C controlled drugs, Perverting the Course of Justice and Preventing Lawful Burial and will appear at Manchester Crown Court

Hiran, from Seedley, Salford, did not return home from work following a shift at El Capo restaurant on Tuesday, July 2nd and began making his way home with a friend.

They both visited the McDonald’s in Piccadilly Gardens then travelled home on a tram, first at Market Street and then another tram at St Peter’s Square.

CCTV footage shows Hiran got off the tram at Cornbrook at 11.08pm. He would normally then catch a tram towards Salford and get off at Langworthy.

Further footage shows Hiran got off the tram at Langworthy at 11.31pm, but Hiran never returned home to the room he rents in a house share.
