The 27 year-old man  has died in Oldham after a white transit van he was driving crashed into a row of houses in the early hours of this morning.

A 19 year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The accident happened on Lees Road just before 6.00am

Sergeant Lee Westhead of GMP’s Serious Collision Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the victim’s family, who are being looked after by specially trained officers at this difficult time.

“While we work to uncover how this happened and piece together the moments before the collision, I’m asking for the public to help in any way they can.

“If you were in the area this morning, know anything about the van’s movements, or have dash-can images, please get in touch and share this information.”
