A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and is in police custody after the death of a baby girl in Fallowfield
The baby girl sadly died at hospital yesterday after police were called to Platt Lane
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Wrench, of our City of Manchester District, said: “This is a devastating incident and news of a police investigation will cause shock in the local community.
“Please be assured that we are keeping an open mind as we pursue several lines of enquiry, working closely with our partners to understand the full circumstances surrounding how this death occurred.
“We are doing everything possible to provide answers for this baby and their family.
