A Bury man is starting a 25-month sentence for possession of heroin and crack with intent to supply, and possession of cannabis.

Syed Itshaan Ali aged 20 of Bell Lane, Bury, pleaded guilty at a previous hearing.

Police found Controlled drugs with an estimated value of £630, money, a suspected drug dealing ‘shot line’ and a drug dealing tick list when they searched his premises back in October .

A number of mobile phones were also found in the living room, cash totalling £1721.26 and weapons, including a wood chopping axe and a large wood saw shaped like a machete, were also recovered.

DC Adam Gosling of the Bury district said: “I am very pleased with today’s result, as we have successfully got a drug dealer off the street.

“Ali chose to deal drugs in Bury and the good people of Bury did not stand for this.

“I have a simple message – if you deal drugs then we will find you, arrest you and ensure you are put before a court.”
