Police have now charged a man with the rape of a woman in the early hours of Saturday morning in Bolton town centre. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wigan Magistrates Court today.
Prashant Gurung,20 , of Manchester Road, Bolton, was arrested with three other males on Tuesday who have all been bailed whilst further enquiries are made.
Detective Inspector Stuart Woodhead, of GMP’s Bolton’s CID said: “Firstly, we are grateful to the victim for working closely with us in gathering essential evidence that has led to the arrest of the man responsible for carrying out this horrific crime.
