A 16 year old male pedestrain has been hit by a police car in Bolton this morning

THe incident happened around 7.00am on St Helens Road

It is closed near the junction with Church Avenue.

In a statement GMP have said

Greater Manchester Police are currently responding to a collision involving a police vehicle and a 16-year-old pedestrian boy that happened at around 7am today (Friday 6 October 2023) on St Helens Road, Bolton.

The full extent of the injuries sustained are unknown at this time with a scene is still in place whilst enquires continue.

Delays are expected as a result and drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes.

Anyone with information that may help officers is asked to call 101 quoting incident 547 of 06/10/2023.
