A Shaquille Clarke strike in the second half secured three points Droylsden and their first away win since the beginning of December at Kendal yesterday.

Heavy rain in the Lake District had put the game in doubt but the referee passed the pitch fit an hour before kick off.

The Bloods made a few changes from the three all draw against Radcliffe on Easter Monday.

Domaine Rouse and Danny Hewitt returning to the back four and Jordan Bove and Carlos Rouse starting up front.

Despite the very heavy conditions both teams played some good football in the first half and created chances.Carlos and Domaine Rouse both having chances for the Bloods both chances provided by Billy Hasler Cregg, while stout defending particularly from Danny Hewitt and some good saves from Lewis Fielding in the Droylsden goal denied the home team.

On loan strike Jordan Bove went close denied by keeper Thompson and a Matt Burke free kick from the edge of the area flew just wide of the post

Goalless at half time, the Bloods struck early in the second half with the great move down the park from the break ending with full back Shaquille Clarke finding himself in space inside the area and his shot squeezing past Chris Thompson in the Kendal goal to give the Bloods the lead.

Droylsden continued to defend well.A combination of Donaine Rouse and Lewis Fielding denying the home team a certain goal soon after while Chris Thompson in the Kendal goal saved well from Hasler Cregg strike late on.
